Ah. So i know jack ---- about cars, do i? And i'm a kid to boot. Oh dear. All this time i've been laboring under the illusion that i possess a high degree of mechanical acumen, and that i was the third or fourth oldest person on this site.

y8-yurbo, now that I'm off my cell and on the laptop where it's a bit easier to communicate, let me explain my and other's reaction to you:
1) We always flame n00bs, you fifteen post wonder. It is a HMT tradition. Welcome home, fuckstick, it's good to have you around. Post up pics of your ride in the General Discussion forum so we can rag on it some.
2) you are hopping in to a FS thread by a turbo reman/seller that is swamped. It's been obvious for the last two months that they are completely inundated. While people are still getting their turbos (so far, wish Theo would update this thread), it is obvious that there's lag taking place, and the Westcoast-Turbo guys are having problems keeping up lines of communication. So, you enter into this situation, which is plainly laid out in this thread, and proceed to freak out like a small child demanding immediate satisfaction which anybody with their head removed from their *** can tell you ain't going to happen.
Just look at how you freak out over *two days* in a thread describing a month's back order, plain for anyone to see:
So, now, on day three you get all butt hurt and start talking smack:
And then decide to advertise the competition, which is a pointless bit of posturing as the budget people aren't going to go that route, and is not required in this thread:
And then, when someone tells you that you didn't get that great of a deal on your shiny new turbo, basically because you didn't ask around for the hookups that get handed out free to people who ask, you get all angry and talk more smack:
So far... you haven't acted all that mature, or like you have years of experience working on cars which would have you good and goddamn familiar with backorders, lag, poor communication, and waiting. How old are you, anyway, since you're so proud of it?
Now, I repeat, Jason/st00pid was being nice to you when he said you got a good deal. That's the sort of person Jason is, he'll lie to you to keep from hurting your feelings. Some people find that an admirable trait. Personally, I'd rather kill you than lie to you to play social games I could care less about. Regardless of what you think about the manner in which I present myself, and whether or not you particularly like me, what does that imply about the things I say?
BTW, hope you enjoy the new turbo. Should make your D16 an absolute beast.

E-mail received today with shipping details! Took 4 weeks to get the notice, and will be almost 5 when it gets here. I just wish they had better communication. Good news from them though, they truly do not deduct the money off your card until the item is shipped.

I'm glad to hear that, they seem(ed) like decent guys with a communication (and probably supply) problem.
I wish Theo, or one of his coworkers, would update this thread to let everybody know where things stand with them. It would smooth things over a lot... most people are fine with a wait, if you are up front and honest about it. It's when they are kept waiting that folks get all
