I was running a JDM 1st gen (brown top) integra or crx ZC. I boosted it and blew it, so now the head and intake are on my D16a1.

Re:ZC motor questions
Not all ZC's are JDM
My 1st gen CRX EDM had a brown top ZC it said ZC1 on it and the engine bay stamp had ZC1 on it to.
And all 2nd gen crx's here have the black top's D16A9's or D16Z5's and some...the VTI' model's come with the B16A1.
There are a few CRX's here with the D16A6, but they were all imported from the US and the only car here that came with a SOHC D16 was the civic Si.

Re:ZC motor questions
Okay, this is off the top of my head:
JDM DOHC ZC Brown top OBD0 (pre-88 crx)
JDM DOHC ZC Black top OBD0(88-91 Civic and maybe Crx's)
JDM DOHC ZC OBD1 (92+ Civic)
JDM SOHC ZC Non-Vtec Some OBD0, OBD1, I think some OBD2(88+ Civics, and maybe Crx's)
JDM SOHC ZC Vtec OBD1 and I think some obd2(not too sure on this one)(92+ Civic)
I think there was also a ZC that came on the 90-93 integras, so I guess you can add integs to the obd0 and abd1 list.
I think that should answer the questions of where and what JDM ZC's n ----.
Now to your little dilemma. I say don't even bother with the OBD0 ZC, just get an OBD1 ZC a little more dough but should be a whole lot easier.
If you insist on getting OBD0, I think all you would need to really worry about is tossing a OBD1 dist on there.
And all the D-series ---- bolts up to the ZC (intake mani, exhaust mani, tranny). And despite these ------ myths out there, B-series exhaust manifolds DO NOT ------ bolt on!
So if you were to go OBD0 ZC on your 5th gen, your main concerns would be distributor and injector wires (if you are already MFPI i take that back). Read doc boost's post on this ish.
Hopefully that helps, I think I got it mostly covered, I gotta run to school now.
P.S. yes semnos i know there are also EDM ZC's but I don't know ---- about them, so I can't say nothin about them, so you got that covered bruh. :P

And about the redline, I belive they were 7000-7200 redline and the fuel cutoff was some thing like 7500-7800. But i think 7200 would be safe to assume, the DOHC is typically associated with a 7200 redline. But if you want a cushion of what the redline is, 7000-7200.
