Default JDM D15B itb's?

Once i saw the itb write-up on this site i fell in love and i'm planning to do the same setup on my d-series. I've got a few questions though. What kind of engine management is needed? Would i have to switch over to a Hondata or similar configuration? How do you get around the EVAP system? Basically how do you do this WITHOUT throwing cel's left and right and have the engine run like it should?

Ask jeff, but basically you just remount the necessary sensors by drilling and tapping etc. Stock engine management.

not easilly... and yes, to get the most out of it, you need a standalone (check out uberdata or chrome before you start thinking about investing $10,000,000 into hondata). Also, your ITB's will do little to nothing at all unless you also have the following:

1)Big fat nice *** cam
2)Big fat exhaust (think slightly larger than 2 1/4)
3)Big fat modified/custom headers (Plain DC headers ain't gonna help u much here, but I will let u in on a lil trick... look on the net -unless u have friends w/ type-r's- and find out what people do to modify their jdm type-r headers *hint: look closly at the collector and the flange*)

anyways... good luck... btw, a nice porting will also help

I was planning on throwing on the Bisimoto Header and running a ZEX cam until i got the cash to do some head work. But is it even possible to run it off my P28? It seems like every thing could be spliced to get manifold pressure but i just don't know how to get around EVAP, can the engine run fine without it? What kind of benefits would a stand-alone offer (besides tunability, etc), would it get rid of these CEL's all together? I'm still sorta new to engine management and thought you could only use it to adjust certain things like fuel/ignition and change rev limits...

ahhh poop!!
i just i get mine finished before you do :-P

i was looking what Abaz (jeff) did..
there is more to be done then what he did..

i would use the the injectors that come on the GSXR Tb's

becuase the intake system is designed to spray fuel onto the the trottle plates.. ( ie just like Formula 1 cars)
i have been researching on what injectrs that come on tb's but i have no luck

the SCTV on the 2001 and up GSXR is used to control the IDLE..the extra butterflies. these are Vacume operate via TPS siganl.. ( tps i thinkging but not sure. ) they use a Servo. I was working using the complete set up and with NO RIGGING...and will have to redrill the Tb''s for additional vacume refrences..

that is all that i know and im still trying to get one of the GSXR ITB's
