Re:zc or mini-me
i was having the same problem on what i wanted but im goin with a zc b/c i got one cheap. also the d16 block i have is very high mileage.
i would go with the cheaper one, both will perform about the same.
but with the mini me you could put a massive vtec windshield banner on, oh wait you could put a big dohc windshield sticker on if you had the zc. man i dont know its a big toss up.

Re:zc or mini-me
well its done! turbo mini-me! it took about tw0 whole days. and the freakning hardest part was wring the dam summit racing rpm switch for the vtec! i swear i spend about 5 hrs messing with that thing just to find out i needed a relay to make it work! but in the end it was all worth it! it pulls very hard and i have almost no traction when i shift to second and third! i love it. i post pics later! yayayayay!

Re:zc or mini-me
f your gonna boost it use the z6 head it has a lower comp. better for boosting
And to the mini-me or zc? I would go with neither. Get a z6 block/head. Boost it. Unless your going with a y7 or a6 block and a vtec head. Then go with that....don't get a b7 block unless you want to spend alot of money bullet proofing it. So I say z6 head/block with y8 intake mani. And boost the hell out of it :P

Re:zc or mini-me
Well since a mini-me is a hybrid motor it could realy have anywhere from like 9:1 to 13:1 depending on the thickness of the headgasket and if the head has been milled, block shaved, or what internals? Different oem pistons in different blocks can make diff compressions... Since there is no mini-me in "stock form" this question cannot realy be answered unless you specify what internals, head, and thickness of head gasket. THEN it can be answered :P
P.S. I'm not trying to be a "hardass" and make you feel stupid if that's what it looks like Everyone is here to learn!
edit -- lol thought you said cr...but still it's along the same lines i belive...diff c/r would yield diff hp/tq levels.
