Default mini-me converion

I have a '90 civic lx with the d15b2 and i need vtec. My question was that even if i can find a vtec head with all of the main parts that i need (intake, throttle body, fuel rail, injectors, ECU, ect.) will all of my sensor fittings fit on the vtec intake manifold?

If I do end up putting one of these together, what can I expect the redlline to be? Should I trust the higher rev limit from the vtec engine the head came off, or will the strenth of my d15b2 rods limit it at it's stock redline. Is the main danger from snapping rods or floatings valves?

P.S. By the way jeff, do you know of anywhere to find the real deal 1-piece headlights for EDs like on your cousins 4dr si? Any Irish junkyards that i can get ahold of online?

All of the sensors are the same on the D16z6 head w/ the SI intake manifold. You can use the Z6 intake manifold, but you will HAVE to use the z6 throttle body, and the map sensor is located right on top of it.. Also you will need to use 88-91 crx mpfi injectors. Not the newer style ones.

The b2 has a bit shorter stroke than the a6. I had no problem with 7800rpm shifts on my mini-me b2 at all. Valve train float is around 8k on the z6 head.

No I dont know anywhere to find those headlights... I dont think they just "Bolt right in" on the ED chasis either. I could be wrong though..

here mihgt be a way for you to consider. im tired so i cant remember if your motor has dual or mpfi. so get you self a head put it on then if you have the mpfi intake bolt it back on.if not get one. runn the nessisary wires for the 4 injectorsto the brain. then put the new brain in. do the harnes orr whtever you have to do to get the brain in then run the 3 wires you will need for the v-tech. the actuator, posotive and negative to the brain. youll be in bussiness. as for the hoses and temp sensor they all fit.
