Some people say the ex ones are a little better; I have ran both and have not notice anything different. Get which ever one is cheaper. To the Op take this from someone that his been in your shoes a ton of times. Make up your mind from the start, the more you change things around the more it will cost you and the longer it will take.

i made up my mind. its a b swap or nothing. so im swapping to a b series, and ill probably just use the teg knuckles since the car already has them on it and all i have to do is unbolt them and toss them in the wheel barrel with the axles attached.

Heads up I part out atleast 1 integra a month. These cars are 15-19 years in age the motors in them are tired. Very raraely do I see a block that will even making the ls swap worth your time unless you bore over the block then the cost becomes a major issue with machine work etc

I sell complete b20b shortblocks for this reason. Heads are little more forgiving in the mileage department. Alot of the time a good degreasing and new valve seals is all that is needed

Compression is your friend and a low compression 200k b18a1 block you will be lucky to put down 100 whp to the ground.

b20b is the future of cheap swaps the ls motor is old/tired. Ls is great if you plan on spending 500 to rebuild the block by why bother when you can get a b20b shortblock for that cost and its a low mileage unit and only 7-8 years old. Oh and the 84mm bore is nice too

but the price factor right now at this give time is what will kill me. i planned to bore the block to a 82mm anyways and run a mid/hi compression. i dont want anything fancy or to pay shipping on ----. locally i can get the motor bored and hottanked for 120 right in front of me. old and tired, then rebuild is what its all about. thats why i love chevy motors that are old like that. renewed power leaves after rebuild.

but out of curiousity chris, what do you charge for a b20. and an estimate on shipping.

500 shipped for complete b20b blocks no head/manifolds just use ls head/manifolds

by the time you bore over
new pistons/rings
bearings
line hone etc

your lucky if your at 500 in total price and now have a smaller motor than the b20b. Just doesnt seem worth it to build a b18a1 to stock specs

I have a few ls heads I have laying around, I would sell to you for 80 shipped. Might need to be put together.

I think I have like 10 ls heads at the shop

I sell complete shortblocks since no one wants that head on a b20b block and people end up junking the ls heads. Also all my b20b's I get come with p8r heads so I sell them seperate since most importers dont get that motor

is there something wrong with a complete longblock? isnt that good enough for a swap? how much are you asking for that shipped? or are this p8r heads junk?

p8r heads=rare non vtec heads that flow the same rate has b16a heads

84mm chamber head/big valves I sell the heads alone for 400 since they only came in one car for one year ever

I dont sell complete longblocks has I source b20b's with p8r so i can sell the b20b bottom end for the vtec corwd and the p8r head for the non vtec corwd

I have 6 b20b's at the shop
