Default Walbro 255lb pump help ?? wired noise

O.K. I put a Walbro 255lb pump in my 91' Civic HB. Of vourse with dropping the tank and buying new J bolts it's a big pain compared to 92' and up civics ( lucky bastards ) so it's not as easy to inspect the pump if I had a newer civic. Here's the problem when I first installed the pump it makes the normal wineding noise like all big pump do normal I know. Well I've had the pump for about a month maybe alittle more and I noticed today the noise the pump is making sounds different. It use to sound like the normal high pitch wineding noise but now it's making like the noise a machine makes when it moves up and down ( like trash machines ) mixed with a grinding noise if that makes sense. like a high pitched grinding noise. IS the noise change after the pump has been in for some time or is there something possibly wrong with the pump. It's only been in my car for like amonth and a half and This is the first Walbro pump I've used thanks for any help.

have you actually tried it? on my '91 CRX, that plate only lets you get to the fuel level sender... the pump plate is on the top/back driver's side of the tank.

My walbro did the same exact thing as yours, it wined then got different and louder, worse in like 1-2 months. It still works fine though

You don't have to drop the tank on a Sol, rip up those two storage buckets and VOILA! Access panel!

Walbro pump has been installed for close to a year, made the same noise since install. Yes it louder but no grinding. I'd check it. Unless your paranoid and making this up
