okay my buddy had a b16 cable tranny in his car ran and drove wine for like a year but then one day just out of no where it wouldn't do into gear. This ---- ever happen to anyone else? Okay so he just pulled it and through in a new one and gave me this question is could this tranny be worth saving or should I just take it for scrap?

 

Could you shift it when the car wasnt running?

 

check the pressure plate, popped a spring.

Did the new tranny work?

 

I dunno I was gonna and he just yanked it out. I don't have a car to try it on but I know my sisters integra had the same prob when it was low on oil.

pressure plate was fine he reused it on the other tranny.

I dunno if I should save it or what

okay so I talked to my buddy to day and he sad at first it wouldn't go into gear but he kept tryin like a ------ idiot . Went into gear and just started grinding like a champ.

 

Its probably fucked. Ill buy the case on the el cheap side if you decide its not worth fixing
