a crescent wrench, channel locks, a rubber mallet, and a set of needlenose pliers is all you need right? I've got those. I'll bring them. and i'll touch your tranny a million times now just cause you said I couldn't

yes, those are all the tools of the trade, plus a screwdriver with exchangeable tips to go from phillips to flat head in a matter of seconds. I hate crescent wrenches so damn much.

just dive into it youll be fine i think honda sells rebuild kits for trannies id sujest picking up a good honda manual first though

wait till it breaks, then you really have no choice. beer makes the whole process roll by a bit quicker. i rebuilt my jdm s1, swapped in an ls 5th gear, and welded shut the nice holes in the casing overnight.

I'd recommend getting a service manual, and you'll have no trouble. I put a LS 5th into an ITR tranny. Only thing I had trouble with was checking the preload adjustment on the diff. Decided to change the tapered bearings to regular round bearings and shimmed it. Make sure you have alot of clean work space and take lots of pics with a digital camera. Have fun with it.
