Re: Honduh tranny rebuild questions
Ebay rebuild kit with sychros for $150 seller is "acerl".........
Now, I believe that is a front for Aceomatic Recon and the last set of synchros I got from the I was not happy with. Gear Speed stocks Honda OEM parts, so you know it will all be right. The kit I won on Ebay from them.......
Now what year is the tranny? 88-91's I suggest inspecting the diff pin for wear. If your gonna hammer on it get a OBX from the get go. When diff pins wear out.........KABOOM!
While tranny is apart might as well replace the 1-2 shifter fork, another $60.

Re: Honduh tranny rebuild questions
last one that Foowee helped on was a BITCH!!!!!!
89-91 Si box, even using the LS oil ring, I had to grind on the case. That one took 4 hours.
Normally I can do a LSD install in 1.5-2 hours while changing the input shaft bearing and seal also.
My Kaaz LSD and the Quaife I installed, the OAL on the bearings......
was within .001" so no shimming was needed.
The picture is for refernce, the measuing needs to be done with a 8" Harbor freight digital caliper and the ring gear out of the way. 123.9mm-124.0mm I think is the normal readings.

hey Mista bone, how about a write up on tranny rebuild w/ pics (that's if you got time). I think that would be nice as reference cause I have a broken ls tranny and was thinking about rebuilding it.
