i have just finished my engine build and i am having some problems.
the engine is a d16z5 head mated to a zc1 block with zc1 pistons (pg6 i think)
i am running a t3 from an peugeot 505 not sure of the a/r.
for fuel managment ive just got an fmu its bad, i know.
thae engine pulls real hard at second and third gear, but when i shif to
forth it starts pulling up to about 4500rpm an loses its power.
fith is even worse. thing is it is reading 8 psi at the guage efter 3000rpm in all gears.
thinking maby its my tranny sinse it a dx tranny but not sure.
anybody gor some idias on this.

no power or LOW power.
not sure what size the turbo is but with a smaller turbo power does die out on higher rpm.

and it would happen if yoru clutch is slowly going out.

well the power is low in 4th and fith, when i hit about 140 kmh it starts losing its omf.
i had an t25 before but on a complete d16z5 engine. and that diliverd in 4th and 5th almost all
the way to 200kmh. the new engine doesent do 200kmh its limit is 185 or somting.

Perhaps a bigger turbo is in order?

maybe you're leaning out or running too rich once there is more load on the engine?

Deposit the FMU in the trash. You shouldn't be doing 5th gear pulls with an FMU.
