Default Need opinions on some rebuild parts (clutch)

Ok, well i will need to order a clutch for my y7/y8 mini me build, i remember a post where they had nice aftermarket clutches that a lot of members had, and they were excellent. but i cant seem to find it. Do they also have lightened flywheels?

Also i need some piston rings, any suggestions? hasting?

Thanks

when i bought my stage 1 clutch the other day.. i asked him if it was rebuilt cuz it was hella cheap... he said no.. if a after market clutch is rebuilt.. its a rip off. i ended up paying 220 something for a stage 1 new.

Rob, the clutches that Mike sells are a super bang for the buck. I ran one, and I like them so much that I now offer them on my site. It's all about the best parts for the money you spend, and for the money you spend on these clutches, you can't go wrong.
I had mine on my Y8 spiking to 19psi, and that clutch never even thought about spinning, no smelling, no noise. Cray bought my old motor and we're putting it all back together this weekend. Same flywheel, same clutch.

Ya, i mean its only going to be 8-10 lbs, and hopefully around 200 hp, i need to probably get some axles.

So how does hasting rings sound?? or oem? trying to save a little money for other random parts.

I used hastings rings for a regular rebuild, but I'm not sure if they are any different than stock rings. If you are using aftermarket pistons I would use what the piston manufacturer recommends, but if you're just doing a rebuild, hastings it is. lol
