Re:mini me
have you ever done this swap? then please don't ------ internet BS around.
the DX head WILL work on the HF block. The fact that it has 8 valve reliefs, is what makes it potent- it gives it crazy compression.
the EX/SI VTEC heads will NOT work, as the valves will hit the piston top. However, the DX cam is not that wicked, and will in fact clear. Don't beleive the article? Clay the motor and find out for your self.
REmeber- this is stock parts. if you throw a bigger cam than the stock DX head, you may in fact hit. but stock for stock, it works. its been done. anyone who tells you it doesn't, is probably the same fucktard who says to run an LS tranny with boost cuz longer is better.

Re:mini me
not all hf's have 8v pistons just the 8v heads ask jeff i think it was him that found 16v reliefs on a hf 1.5 8v engine.. so you would have to pull the head off to see as for the bolt patterns they should all be the same and the wiring is easy!!

Re:mini me
It was a D15b8 that had a 8valve head and 4 valve relief pistons... (civic cx) The HF does have 2 valve reliefs per piston, but it seems people are getting 16v heads to work on them... curious if a y8 or z6 head could work... ? who knows what would happen when vtec engauged! more lift SMACK! the pistons?
