I'm getting new head studs anyways. I don't see why you would need different ones though, think about it, they just go thru the head and into the block, the head is the same height and I would guess that the thread starts right at the surface of the block? oh well, I'll get arps anyways.

Re:the chronicles of projekteg and kyle (LS/Vtec fun)
Don't flame me on this question
I have an OBD1 95 Acura Integra and want to go LSVtec. I know you should change to GSR oil pump and water pump...ect. My question is,
"Can I just use all of my LS OBD1 engine wires going to the throttle body, injectors, dizzy...ect?" and
"If I use the GSR head or B16 head, do I have to use the computer from that particular head?"
I want to do a VictorX intake with an overbored throttle body, do I have to use all of the vtec head and intake sensors or can I use the ones from my stock LS block?
I know you guys said just use an rpm activator switch or a VAFC, but if I use a vtec (GSR) ECU, how many extra wires do I have to run to the ECU? A chipped ECU and/or Zdyne is out of the question.

Re:the chronicles of projekteg and kyle (LS/Vtec fun)
if you use an obd1 ecu you will need obd1 dizzy and wiring for sure, I'm not sure about the sensors. also the injector plugs are different from obd1 to 0. with the gsr ecu you need the vtec pressure one, the solenoid one, and the knocksensor one, also you might need a different wire for the o2 sensor. and the dual stage intake isn't going to like you unless you use a gsr head.
why did you put your questions in quotes?

Re:the chronicles of projekteg and kyle (LS/Vtec fun)
The entire car is already OBD1.
So basically saying, get the entire OBD1 GSR head, dizzy, and IM fully intact with sensors.?
Can I have a non-OBD0 head and use all OBD1 ecu dizzy and IM?

Re:the chronicles of projekteg and kyle (LS/Vtec fun)
I know this might be asking a bit much but could you make a list of different combinations of LSVtec head combinations? If not could you post a site that may already have one?
type cylinder head (OBD0,1,2)
IM (OBD0,1,2)
TB (...)
ECU (...)
Dizzy (...)
I am building a turbo lsvtec race motor and instead of buying an entire head assembly w/IM...ect, I just want to get the head and get a venom IM, 90mm TB, and an ECU that will work with the head without a custom chip and no zdyne.
No offense to zdyne but they are OBD0 and my car is OBD1.

Re:the chronicles of projekteg and kyle (LS/Vtec fun)
so zdyne is out for you, but you still have hondata and ecu chipping.
I don't personally know all the combos available, I'm pretty new at this myself. Any vtec head should work, I think you will have to use gsr intake with gsr head, I'm not sure on that one, now that I think about it you might not. If I'm too dumb to answer you questions google search on it. I'm going to bed now, you'll have to google search until someone else comes.
