Just did a mini me. new problem!

Re: Just did a mini me. new problem!
the b8 crank timing marks are 12° btdc.
get a z6 crank pulley which are 16° btdc.
if you have a 99-00 y8 intake it has some small air injection holes near the intake ports.
make sure you plug those holes. you will have to remove the intake.
I used a d15z1 vx timing belt on my turbo b8/z6.

and i didn't see any small injection hose so it must be a pre 99 intake.
also will the 4 degree difference cause a difference in idle of 1200 rpms?
i didn't get time to do any inspection on my ride today.. sucks but i have no choice.. i still have to figure out why my fan won't work.

*************** update **********************
well i took a good look at the car today and well, first was first. Had to fix the overheating problem. the car runs and is drivable so.. it wasn't much of a concern to fix that which is wrong.
i found that that a ground to the relay of the radiator fan had been lost. so i had to reground the a switch to the relay and boom. works..
i found the IACV not working to i bought a brand new one today for 100 dollars. not a bad deal considering it's new. i haven't plugged it in yet cause i bought it less then 10 mintues ago.
either way i got to wire in Vtec and relocated the AIT sensor and retard the CAM sensor either 4 degree's or change out the crank pulley.
ill update with pictures my setup after it's all done.

***************update again **********************
found out where the leak is coming from. i checked for leaks. and i had NONE. carb spary all over nothing. pulled the TB off to see if there was anything in there of sorts. i had OIL all inside the intake.. (i also was short about a quart) so my intake was soaked in oil.. i checked the PCV valve.. guess what.. (the pcv valve. nonexistant) i quickly replace it.
BOOM... fixed the High idle. 1400 rpm just became a 850 RPM.
i also wired in VTEC today but it wasn't engaging.. so i checked my timing.
wasn't accurate.. was about 1.5 tooth off (yes you read that right. since there is a different deck height to the head so there is a .5 tooth difference. so i moved it 1 tooth and put a cam gear to correct the 1/2 tooth difference. had to retard my cam gear 3.5 degree's.
tested it on the road today.... AWSOMENESS... finally i see what vtec is about..
it doesnt kick like it does in a B series but it's still nice.. imma go see if i can get my ECU chipped and tune for the best ride.
