I believe the d16a1 (87-89 teg) case is different then all other D-series.

So, what clutch will I need to use with the ZC transmission? Is it the 86-89 Integra? I'm also a 'little' confused with the axel swap. I know I need two passenger side axels from a 89-91 civic/crx, the intermediate shaft, and integra caps/cups, correct?

Zc transmissions use the same clutch as the Dseries ones. Jus make sure you get the right clutch for the corresponding year of the tranny and flywheel.

Sorry I can't help you too much with the axles graham, good luck tho.

yeah, you can use the two pass. side crx axles and change the inner joints two integra ones. or you can use two 90-93 integra axles, but then just take out the dust shield on the inner side of the hub.

You have to have the jdm zc intermediate shaft though.

To do this 5th gear swap, how far into the tranny will I need to go? Will I need to remove the transaxel from the tranny and dig right in, or will I need to remove just the end cover to access the 5th gear? Do I simply exhange the 5th gear (only) from the countershaft, or will I need to change something on the mainshaft as well? What about pins or rings? I really don't know.
