idle problumbs

Default idle problumbs

i have a 2000 civic ex that was converted to and si and i cant get my idle to drop below 1500 after it is worme and when i start it up it idles at like 3500 dose any one know what might be wrong and how to fix it

check the throttle cable for being to tight or turn the idle screw on the throttlebody.

Did you check for VAC leaks? Are you sure everything is hooked up, and hooked up right?

Yeah sometimes the IACV and the coolant temp sensor and the air intake temp sensor can get mixed up. they are the same style of plug. Go to your chiltons book and look at the color of wires to figure out which ones go to which. Check if you have any codes.

ok thanks the idle screw is all the way in and i have fucked with it so much it is pissing me off but i will check my book.
