i know the redline is at like 6250 ior 6500 on a d16a6 but the rev limiter is at 7k if im not mistaken...can it handle 7k shifts without blowing...well when i race that is...daily driving ill keep it under that.

power starts to fall off after about 6900 rpm so there is no need to shift that high.

 

well my rev limiter was set around 7100ish (maybe more?) and i bounced off it a couple times with the 60/48 turbo (pulled all the way)...

 

so i should shift at right before i hit 7k? around 6750 to 7k? because if i can shift to 7k then i should be fine...but im still going to get a cam.

will my stock valve springs and retainers be able to hold up to 7k shifts ?

ive done it a couple of times with 10psi of boost. wouldnt recommend it all the time though.

i reved my d15a3 to 8k before... someone messed with the ecu before i had it or something... no rev limiter.. i missed 2nd a couple times and pinned the tach... (87 crx si)
nothin broke... i also hydrolocked this engine 3 times... nothign broke :P
