when I rev to 2k rpm it drops to almost to 0k, but if I rev to 3k it will stay?
I just swapped the motor/tranny and this is my first time working with a light weight flywheel and 6 puck clutch. The problem is very annoying, when I rev the engine to let go of the clutch, I have to rev it to around 3k. If I rev it to 2k then the rpm will just suddenly drop for no reason to almost 0 rpm the shoot back up to 2k. I dont think this has anything to do with the clutch since my problems occur when the clutch is pressed in.
Has anyone had this problem before?
Please help.
Thanks,
Nick

Do you also have a lightweight crank pulley or any other pulleys?
If it is too light the whole assembly, it could happen. I have problems sometimes with the WRX, crank pulley and lightweight, 13lb, flywheel, if I shift slow after reving high, sometimes it goes down to 0, but as soon as I pop the clutch it turns on. When I break it dips down to 400-500 and back up to idle which is around 800rpms.
