Default HELP, clutch bleed

so my damn clutch master cylinder took a poop on my 96 gs-r, and i replaced it last night, no sweat, easy repair, but now no matter how much i bleed the damn thing i only get about half a pedal back, i had a full pedal of pressure from top to bottom before, now all i get is pressure on the bottom half of the pedal, and the top is dead, and i have bled the ---- out of it, by cracking the line loose at the master and bleeding it there, then moving down to the bleed valve on the slave, i bled this **** sucker for 2 hours, and still only half pedal, WTF? some help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

well there isnt a bleed valve on the master, but i did crack the fluid line loose at the master and bleed it a few times before i started to bleed down at the slave, so technically yes i did bleed the master

You should also check to make sure that the rod on the master cyl. isn't all out of adjustment, there should be about 1/8" of play at the top before the rod acually starts to push the piston inside the cyl. If it's too long or too short it can also cause this problem.

I.E. Too long, piston is already part way down the cyl. and it won't move enouph fluid. Too sort, it's not moving the piston all the way down the cyl. and once again it won't move enough fluid.

I say this becuase sometimes people like to screw the rod all the way in to make it fit in the box/bag better when it's sitting on the shelf...
