has anyone done this conversion? i have heard about it but can't really find any info on it. i have heard the f22's have iron sleeves in them, is this true?

 

I don't think you can mate F with H. maybe your thinking of the h23 block and the h22 head?

 

yeah i have heard of the h23 vtec but it doesn't seem like a good swap for all the work u got to do. i will look around but i remember hearing the f22 with the h23 head. i will look around and see what i can find.

 

I heard of the f series head on the H block, some place in a magazine.

 

I've heard it can be done, and it's pretty painless too. The only site though i've really seen any info on it was at www.accordinglydone.com (i hope i don't get banned for postin that )I had read an article on there of how to do it, but not sure if it's still there, as i haven't been there in a long time.

 

Does it seem to be worth my time?? i got the old h23a1 block that was in my car here at work getting ready to toss some new rings and bearings in it. also my head is down the machine shop getting 3 angle and ported. if the f22 block is stronger stock should i go with it any feedback will be greatly appreciated. if not i guess i could always redo the h23a bottom end and sell it.... only gonna be $325 to get rebuilt $275 in parts and $50 to the tech. i would do it myself but i am having a platinum honda tech doing it so its worth the $50.
