yeah it sucks i have an h23 on my lude instead of the h22 but anyway i was wondering if i could get a h22a vtec or non vtec head and put it on my h23 block would it work or do i need some modifications ? i would prefer non vtec to avoid the whole ecu thing, just wondering case i cant find ---- for my h23

 

it can be done, but from what i hear, you basically need the entire H22 block for all the parts that have to be used from it. If you had the H22 block, then you should just put that in the car instead :P

seriously though, its not just a bolt on affair, or even similar to LS/VTEC with the oil line tapping and dowel pin hole boring. You need all H22 parts.

Just go buy a lower milage f22a1/f22b2 and stick the H23 head on that bitch. I think that would be the easiest thing for you to accomplish.

 

H23 Vtec is pretty easy to do. Its easier than an ls/vtec.

 

F22 have better sleeves...I would stick with them and boost the shiet outta it

 

honda-tech has a really good thread on those hybrids.. i'm yet to see one of our loyal FI members do it yet, but we'll see.
