Re:Timing with MiNi-Me swap
ok.... i'm gonna make this as painless as possible
1)take off timing belt off cam gear
2) take out your #1 sparkplug (closest to the cam gear)
3) stick a long nonmetallic object down there (2 straws work well)
4) rotate the crank till the long item reaches it's highest point
5) look down at the timing marks on the crank pulley
6) line up the single mark on the pulley (usually white) w/ the timing belt cover pointer.
7) that is what we call TOP DEAD CENTER (TDC)
now look at the cam gear
9) there is a "UP" stamped on it
10) put that mark @ 12:00
11) now look @ 9:00 and 3:00 there are scribe marks
12) looking flush at the cam gear.... line those marks up w/ the head surface
13) slide your belt on
that's it!
good luck
