what year are the motors? ship me the upper/lower intake as a gift to my bad luckedness

 

I only have the longblocks, one came out of a early 90's truck and the other out of a late eighties 4runner, not sure of the exact years.

 

look at the water pump. if the top two bolts have a droopy curve, and the valve cover has 2 raised cast lines going down the back, they're 1985+

if the center exhaust stud is single, between 1/2 and 3/4, the water pump is straight between the two bolts, and the front of the valve cover slants back at a 45º angle, along with the alternator having two tabs, as opposed to two tabs on the bracket, it's 1981-1984

 

i usually hammer a block of wood in the flywheel teeth and if it gets too stuck you can just torch it out :1

 

They're both '85+
But you're probably closer to Panama than where I am.
