DOHC ZC Timming jumped ?
I was street racing a bunch of people this past weekend. Well on my way home I noticed that my intake was all of a sudden real deep at full throttle and the motor felt like it had lose some power. I think when I was racing and banginh gears that my timming belt might have jumped a tooth. The car runs fine ( except for the little lose of power I feel now ) and idle's fine. But the intake just sounds abnormally deep like a reall deep gggrrr like a dohc vtec motor even though all honda DOHC motor are deep sounding when a intake is added it just sounds abnormal and also like I said it feels like I lost alittle power/torque. What do you guys think am I right ? I'm gonna bring my car into my shop after worrk and check the TDC make sure eveyrthing is on. Also if it did jump I think this means my tensioner is bad. Thanks for any help

Or your tensioner isn't tight enough.
But I know what you mean...I have it sometimes with my ZC to, but I think it's just that you got used to going fast with it and then afterwards it feels sluggish.
Or it isn't getting good oil lubrication.

Man unless your belt was just really loose, and you were hitting some serious R's it may have jumped. But the way you are describing it, "Loss of power" "Loud from the intake" that is exactly what happens on the ZC if the cam timing is off.
Bring it to TDC, check the marks. You probably dont need a new tensionar, they are suppose to be preloaded, but I never use that gay spring, I always just put a slight load on them and just make sure the belt is a perfect tension (45 degree deflection (easy) on the exhaust side)

Re:DOHC ZC Timming jumped ?
o.k. I checked my timming belt everything is o.k...... I checked my compression ..180 all around on all 4. Check my spark plugs they look fine and I'm not running too lean or too rich. I'm just clueless..... it doesn't make any sense to me whats going on or why it happened. My only thing I can do now is take out the motor and replace it with another ZC. The worse part is I'm putting a turbo kit on soon and now this is gonna set me back some cause I gotta shell out money for another motor. Oh and I didn't over rev. it either.

maybe there is nothing wrong with your car..maybe its your imagination...Sometimes i am so paranoid , i hit a bump and my foot bounces off the gas pedal a little..and i get all worried because i think my motor is stalling ...but i just realized i just let off the gas.Maybe you just got used to your cars increase in power and it feels slower to you now.
