yes...correct...but
black top ARE domed and brown top ARE flat.
zc pistons are the same bore and stroke BUT share many diff. in parts.
well...not big differences, but differences
zc rods ARE a bit stronger than the sohc. zc pistons are better to use(but they raise comp) because of a few things. sohc piston rings are a bit too low. zc have the comp rings higher. they also have oil cooling holes on the bottom of the pistons. they also have longer skirts and dif size skirts on the piston to reduce vibration in the chamber. they are VERY similar to itr pistons, minus the vibration coat.
zc dohc heads can bolt up to the sohc block BUT 1 head stud will not match. you MIGHT be able to make it start but there is pretty much NO FREAKIN USE. it has the cheapest valvetrain honda produced. and the cam isnt that great. its better if you just put the whole dam motor in the car.
good luck.

another question, what if i just get rods , do i have to get pistons or will the factory ones fit or even handle the boost? say i was to run 12 psi max? but hone out the block and get good quality rings? would the pistons hold up. i decided to sta wit the D16A6 with the A6 head, and have a sohc monster, i plan to run 12 psi.

C:\Documents and Settings\StefH\Desktop\compression calculator.htm

that will help you determine compression for a good build up, zc pistons bring it way up to like 13 to 1 compression, Dx pistons seem to be a good choice if i was gonna do that build up.
