if indeed a "ps9" is from a 90-91 obd-0 USDM SOHC, i do not see how it has a plug for ANYTHING vtec.
theres a TON if misinformation in this thread.. (possibly my own as well about the clips... )
let me go and consult someone who knows more than i do...

Re:d15b in to a 91 si??
Well my OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness project was unsuccessful. I got through soldering a few of the pins then I ran into a puddle, the OBD1 harness I had was lacking the A8 wire. So I just gave up on it for now. Later down the road I actually might try and make my own A8 wire and see if it works. I was bummed when it didn't have it.
Then again I think the OBD1 side of my harness came from a 94 DX so it was gay.

To my understanding the one wire vtec is a wire that is contained in the PS9, a wire that is originally set up for a selenoid lockup and you hook that up to the vtec selenoid.

ok the distributer issue...
im still awating.. but the above was correct about the teeth differences..
i guess this is why people opt for the obd-I conversion....
this comes from the electricle/ECU tuning moderator on our board, he know his ---- in this department so I was wrong (and now pissed) because i cannot do this to my car.
as far as the ps9.... pgmfi.org doesnt even list it.
and this was funny..
im looking into the "ps9" as we speak... give me a little bit.

so you could actually only 'unleash' the ps9 powers

Re:d15b in to a 91 si??
Honestly kevin, personally on a swap like that I would do a OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness and all the things that go with it and run the P28 ecu. Just tell your buddy he'll have to fork over some cash for the hardware.
The PS9 thing is really something I personally wouldn't do. Mainly becasue I believe the ecu would still only utilize one ignition/fuel map, where as these other vtec ecu's actually have 2 ingnition/fuel maps. For regular driving I guess the PS9 wouldn't be too bad, but I'm sure later down the road he's gonna wanna race, and then gonna wanna upgrade and then you'll talk him into turbo and if you do the P28, you can do uberdata for him and it'll be primo.
So go snag yourself a set of OBD1 Si plugs, and do the harness. If you really need some OBD0 plug socket sides, I have a set that I will sell for one million dollars and a hand job.
