Default A couple of questions about Vitaras

Ok, well i got my vitaras and h beam connecting rods ready for my d16z6, on the the top of the piston it shows an arrow just like normal honda pistons, but if you look closely it looks like that if I put the arrow pointing towards the t-belt side than the bigger vlave cutouts will face the exhaust side. I would think that i want the bigger ones on the intake side, what did you guys do? And also did all of you use those pin locks? The rods are pressed in, so is it really necessary?

Your H beam connecting rods shouldn't be press in. They are free floating if they are Eagle or TT.

I had eagles for an LS motor and they were press fit....Well my d series rods are SRM so i guess thats why, but what about the orientation of the arrow?

i remember reading this somewhere.. you have to put it the arrow pointing t-belt side and the valve cutouts shouldnt match the valves. double-check this info as im not perfectly sure
