87 crx si gonna be turbo'd in next couple days.....couple q's?
ok so my setup will beeeee...........
stock d15a3
-stock dx manifold with custom relocator pipe
-dsm 2g t25 turbo
-z31 300zx t3 wastegate actuator (6.7 psi)
-saab fmic (21x6.5x2.5 core)
-2" ic piping
-stock 1g bov
-2.5" downpipe with external dump on custom dp flange for turbo
-msd sci ignition
-msd btm (gonna start at .5 setting)
-cartech 20005 fmu (that'll be fun to toooon with)
-older style LM1 wideband
-bpr7es11 plugs (gonna try gap at .036?)
-braided oil feed line w/ .0625 oil restrictor fitting for turbo
-autometer boost and fuel pressure gauges
that's pretty much it....might be leavin out a couple things.....borla exhaust, dc short shifter, gutted out, batt relocated, all evap/emission/idle control bs removed, has a hedman header on UNTIL the turbo goes on. im gonna run on stock boost setting, on the stage colder plugs, btm, and tinker with the fmu for onset rise and RR per boost. wondering if anyone has any suggestions as far as timing goes....keep it stock or retard it some? idk what my timing is...gotta check it then set it....and anything with the mech vacuum advance on the dizzy or leave it be?? i'll have a decent streetable setup with decent power. not tryna make huge numbers, just more...lol....this is my DD now....gotta remember that....but i know how turbo cars work.
just some hints before i throw all this ---- on this weekend. just waitin for a silicone 90 degree coupler to arrive. thanx guys.......and i'll def have pix up wheni get it together.

yeah i know they ain't the best method but it was there free so i took it. used it on my 84 300zx turbo for a while that i sold to my friend. i'll be looking into the conversion in due time....just gonna get the project rollin this weekend now that my coupler and wastegate came in today!
