Right now I am running the stock 1997 CX automatic axles in a D15B7 manual transmission, the splines are the same on this trans as the automatic, but will I need new axles when I pickup my D16Y8 manual? I figured you have to change axles between but the B7 worked with my axles so I had to ask.

Alright. But you're sure? A write up on dseries.org had said that the axles need to be switched to the ones for a manual transmission. Maybe that's only fifth gen, I'm just going to throw the Y8 in there anyways so I'll buy the axles if I have to.

 

inner joints are the same.......

If you already have a B7 in there, Y8 won't change anything needed.
