as long as they dont hit when you put the crank in and spin it a few times you should be fine.

I haven't got much done because I've been working my *** off lately. Spring time is not much fun when you are in landscape sales...

I pulled the pistons and re-notched the block I didn't take too much more off. Basically used my dremel to make a better transition back to the cylinder. I also evened out the notches.

I had to cut a ---- load of material off of my girdle. I started off using the dremel and ate through about 5 carbide cutter bits. One of my friends has an air belt sander with a 3/4'' wide belt on it. It worked perfect for notching the girdle.

I followed the torque specs for stock studs(I think it was 18,30,49) then did the final torque to 60ft lbs. Do i have to torque them again or is this good?

The engine is completed and has been dropped into the car. I pulled the spark plugs and the fuel injector clips. I cranked the engine for about 15 minutes and the oil dummy light wouldn't go off. How long does it normally take to build oil pressure? I'm probably going to buy an oil pressure gauge tomorrow just to make sure that the sensor didn't go bad. Could anything else be causing this?

Wooooohooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It runs bitches!!!!
I reconnected everything and fired it up. The dummy light went off the second it turned over. I can't believe that it runs.
There was a small coolant leak that i had to fix and I'm getting a check engine light (code 5 or 50). It flashes slow 5 times so I'm guessing that is a code 50? There isn't a code 50 in my repair manual but there is a code 5. I guess it has something to do with the map sensor.
