Well, it was already out I was trying to put it in and I tried a million different ways to get it in there from underneath and I could not. Now, I did not try removing the alternator bracket...it did not occur o me. Are you saying it is possible without removing the axle or the bracket?
I believe I did it without removing either...think I did it on Alec's CRX too.
Hmmm, my buddy said he did it on his CRX too. He was there and got under the car, but he could not remember how he did or figure the rust bucket out either. I think maybe you were both on some good drugs, lol.

well I found the problem.. loose battery terminals.

loose battery terminals? the alternator alone (without the battery hooked up) can run just about everything in the car and not drop below 13.2volts, so the battery light should havent came on for that.

I think on the crx we had to remove the bracket.

I agree, its's at almost 14v strong now... ?

You might laugh but I pulled the bulb on my alt idiot lite. A Honda tech informed me of regularly getting complaints about non oem alts.
