Could be a lot of stuff man, vacuum leaks, some electrical problems, doubt its ur belt. It can also be your tb or tps sensor. have u looked at all ur sensors?

Grounds? It's not your alternator belt, although that could be loose at the same time. Have you fucked with anything recently?

ok i tightened the belt but it didnt fix the problem

i think its the positive battery wire(red one)
its a bit corroded. ill sand it out tonight and see what happens

could also be a ground like u said. how many ground wires does a d16z6 have?

At least 2...one by the tranny coming from the battery, and one from the chassis to the motor up in the front as soon as you open your hood. I usually replace all of mine with some 4 guage stereo amp wire...seeing that i collect a ton of it from work for free

There should be some deflection in the throttle cable... I don't remember how much though. If it works...

mine did that when i swapped out the stock engine with another stock engine. i didnt have a timing light so i just guessed. it would idle rough and shut off sometimes. i bought a timing light and set i back to spec and now i have no rough idle and it doesnt turn off on its own
