-Auto-Manual Swap- Need tips!
Patient: 96dx
Started swap today and here's what I'm having trouble with:
Lining up the Transmission dowels so I can finally bolt it to the engine!
Does the transmission shaft have a master spline (that is, the splines go in a certain way?)
And just want to clarify something..
Once you bolt up the clutch and remove the clutch alignment tool, the clutch disk shouldnt move right? I didnt try to mess with it when I took out the alignment tool.

When you use the alignment tool and then torque down the pressure plate, the disk shouldn't move.

Re:-Auto-Manual Swap- Need tips!
it is a bitch to line up no matter what you do. sometimes it goes right in and sometimes it takes a while. my auto swap went pretty smooth besides the fact that i didn't get a manual starter at first so i couldn't start the car until i did. good luck
