Default 5G help...dx to ex

Ok..I have been looking on/off all day and I cannot seem to find specifically what I am looking for. I have a friend that wants to go from a d15 to the d16z6 in his 94 hatch. I have been looking for info concerning the wiring for vtec and if he can use the existing intake/exhaust manifold, dizzy etc... Thanks in advance.

If you wanted to make it really easy, you could just buy a VAFC and run VTEC from that, or you could run two wires to the ECU for VTEC and run a P28.

The intake and exhaust manifolds will fit.

Cool, I am assuming that the P28 will be a direct plug in then? The dizzy and everything will be cool too? Are there any unused pins that I can graft over for the 2 added wires or will pins from a 4G harness work? Thanks again.

The P28 will plug right into an OBD1 harness. The distributor might not be so easy. I don't think it bolts up right. You might have to rig something up with that one, but it will work. Not sure about the pins. I think you have to actually run the extra wires. I don't think there is anything you could swap around. I'm not sure about the pins being interchangable.

Yea, I figure that I would have to run the wires, but I thought there might be a couple of unused pins I could ****** out of the harness (like when doing an DPFI to MPFI conversion). If not I am sure I can hack a few wires out of a boneyard car. Hmmm, sounds like it would be best to just find the appropriate dizzy too. Thanks doc.

you can chip that OBD 1 Po6 ecu to run VTEC and have ti chipped to run as a p28 for future mods, that runs about $100 in all (from me lol)

Cool, I just ordered a burner, two sockets and three chips last night from Moates.net because I want to run turbo edit for my set-up.
