i was on dexedrine as a kid. that ---- is pure amphetamine. it works great though.

the only sexual side effects I had was slightly less sensation, but I still got hard and was able to get off. I only needed it for a short time. I feel bad for the people who have to be on it all the time just to regulate their moods.

Yeah, if the OP had only been feeling down for a week and the doctor prescribed antidepressants, that's kind of fucked up. Everyone gets down sometimes, and being down for a few weeks especially with no past history of mood disorders doesn't exactly ring the bell as depression. If that continued for months or years though, different story.

I believe what I used to be prescribed, Citalopram, is a generic brand of Celexa. It didn't stop my bipolar mood swings, it just kind of elevated my mood in general so I didn't get so depressed in the down swings. Lamictal is what they put me on to stabilize my mood. It calmed things down, but it's not like I still didn't get normal highs and lows, I just didn't get excessive highs and lows after that. It actually made me feel much more normal than before I was on meds. Also I was on Amitryptaline since otherwise I would never have much of an appetite and I had a lot of trouble falling asleep.


Never noticed any sexual side-effects from any of them.

I had actually been depressed the previous year and took no medication and I ended up losing my job at the time. So this time when I started getting those signs I went to the doctor and told him how I was feeling and he told me that these were signs of depression and gave me the prescription. after being on it for a week, it helped me get over it.

Sounds like SAD, Seasonal Affect Disorder. I have a 10000 lux flourescent lamp for it, I only use it once or twice a winter but it takes the edge off.

thats pretty much what he told me. I havent gotten it since I got over it when I made this thread. Luckily the past year I've had a good, steady girlfriend and some ---- has just been better during the winter(I guess).
