aparantly I do since I work on them all the time and never seen one, not saying they were never made I had a 88ish 2.5 tech tbi 4cyl 4x4 s10 in the other day and I didn't think they were ever made :-X

I know 1985-1990 they had 2.5's or 4.3's as an option.

I spent a number of years as a wrench when those piles of ---- still roamed the earth in large numbers. There is little I loathe more than a GM 2.8 V6 except for the GM DOHC 3.4 miscegenation based off the pushrod 2.8... although bukkake is taking 4.3's to that level with me.

wow, I really dont think we got those in Canada never saw one with anything but a 4.3 and I've been working on those bastards for 15 years :P

The 2.8's have all fallen apart. Think of the 3.1, replete with intake gasket problems, only add in serious bottom end defects... to the point that most mechanics weren't aware of the 2.8's intake gasket problems because the engine would sling a rod first.

Not many of those were ever sold; the 2.5 iron Duke could barely move that heavy 4X4 drivetrain. I liked the 2.5 fine for what it was - an inexpensive reasonably reliable beater engine. As soon as you tried to make them work hard they died... I knew a guy withone in a CJ8, he kept trying to build them and kept breaking cranks at the 150 whp level. Awesome!

I think you need to spend some time getting your hands dirty, working on + learning about cars. I'm going to go ask Jeff if we can't make your mentioning of S10's or 4.3 liter V6 grounds for 3 day bans, thereby creating goodly sized chunks of free time in which you can actually learn about cars.

lol thats why i breathed life into a POS s10 that hasnt been turned on in 15 ------- years and changed all the wiring that was aten out by rats? and got the thing running like the day it drove off the lot (cant say it looks like the day it drove off the lot though :P)

and i just got into a car accident and bent the rack and pinion fucked the axle. and outer tie rod and bent the frame. fixed it all in 2 days in my own ------- back yard... swapped out the axle.. changed the rack and pinion (which is a pain in the ass on the w bodys cause u gotta drop the kframe.) then used some crude pulling tools to straiten out my frame.. and when all was said and done it doesnt even need an alignment!

not to mention i had a POS 87 civic wagon that i barely kept running before i gave up on her and junked it :1

and the other two s10's i own..

dont forget the body work expierience i have, can u work a frame machine? k thnx.

everyone tries to learn what they can. im in the process of trading my monte for a cx hatch and 2000 bucks. then ill get gooing on a turbo project to shut everyone up :1

i know im a noob, at least on this board... s10's got a bunch of ----, the 4.3l V6, the 2.8l V6, and some other I4 ----... but i was only aware astro's/safari's got the 4.3l... not that it matters, unless your some beaner trying to boost your molester-mobile... in that case, more power to ya

omg... you guys are actually responding to tuname? He's not gonna buy a v8. His old nissan/datsun 300zx is the closest thing to a v8 he will ever buy.
