I'm in the process of the same build. I found my 86 Regal for $550. I'm in Florida and it was an original FL car so no rust. You just have to wait out the good deals.

As for the 383, I'd say just stay with the 350 or 355 if it's in need of an overbore. The stroker motors are great setups for nitrous or all motor but dropping the compression and running a mild cam to make use of the turbo setup is defeating the purpose of building a stroker.

Any of the 4 bolt main sbc's will do the trick. Even finding a 2 bolt and then having the machine shop drill and tap for 4 bolt caps from Milodon or another company will work.

And with the 305's, if you have one, use it. There are plenty of single turbo 305's running around to show there is nothing wrong with them. The heads flow worth ---- stock, but with a little porting, they'll do the trick just fine. A lot of people ---- on them because they can't make the same hp as a 350 for the same price. I have one in the garage destined for the shop truck once I can find a tranny. Just have to make use of what you can find.

Astros got 2.5's and 2.8's and 4.3's just like the Homo10's.

And Sy/Ty's have drivetrains of glass, that make DSMs look bulletproof. You think bandwagoning on HT is assinine? Go hang out on a Sy/Ty forum for twenty seconds, you'll puke. Apparently Sy/Ty owners are where ITR owners come from... only the ITR owners aren't all old and conservative yet. :1

You have no idea about anything having to do with cars. :1

I think you need to spend some time getting your hands dirty, working on + learning about cars. I'm going to go ask Jeff if we can't make your mentioning of S10's or 4.3 liter V6 grounds for 3 day bans, thereby creating goodly sized chunks of free time in which you can actually learn about cars.

I spent a number of years as a wrench when those piles of ---- still roamed the earth in large numbers. There is little I loathe more than a GM 2.8 V6 except for the GM DOHC 3.4 miscegenation based off the pushrod 2.8... although bukkake is taking 4.3's to that level with me.
