A few months back when I was first doing my civic, my brother who owns a 66 Mustang with the same I6 asked me about doing his car. I did some searching and found a site that had a few project cars with the inline 6, a few mustangs and falcons. I don't remember the link, and had no luck searching for a bit, but from what I can remember the one that I read about was a falcon putting down 280hp to the wheels, with a 60 trim T3, no intercooler. The kit was really simple, welded carb box, they inverted the stock manifold, welded a flange and ran the lines. You gotta upgrade the carb, I don't know much about them, but there's some pills or something you can change to make it skirt more gas.

They when on to say how that I6 is pretty much bulletproof, you can boost the heck out of it and it will hold fine.

In the end my brother decided to do it the right way and got a 302 :P

Also heard of 1000-1100 horses from old chevy I6s (can't confirm though), and read mag. articles about an 1100hp I6 Impala (built engine) and a nearly 700hp late 60s I6 Mustang (the same one we're talking about).
You should check 'em out sometime if you haven't before. If you are serious about making some big power from a small package and you know how to properly take advantage of the balance and geometry of these engines...you can haul some serious ------- ***!!!
how the hell are you going to compare the 2jz-gte to a ford i6. ***** thats just crazy.
