Default Continue on turboing B18 Ls/Vtec vrs. B16

Okay, thanks for help on the following subject, but I am not even 16 yet. I have the car, a 1988 Honda Crx hf stock. Way to underpowered. I am getting a job very soon, adn i am oginging to work full time over the summer. But All in all i will haev about 6-8k on doing the engine swab and turboing. Is that enought to do a ls/vtec right and still be able to turbo it using used parts, or would it be better for me to bo with a b16. I no this is a touchy subject and there are goods on each side;ls/vtec-torque at lower rpms where it will be used more, more power, newer;b16- good torque but at high rpms, already vtec so less hassle, less expensive, more reliable. I don't no, but opinions would be greatly apprecited guys.

I would get a b20 turbo or b20Vtec turbo with that amount of money. be much more tourquyer and better.

I would stick with non vtec for turbo and spend the money that you would have on VTEC on some nice *** turbo.

A b20 longblock is like 800 US, mounts 500 etc. should be able to turbo it with a ballbearing turbo, hondata,Motec etc, for that much. get good fueling and timing
