I got a 12lb steel one from LSD, definetely revs faster that my stocker
Ive only run lightenned flywheel on boost though so I wouldnt know if it would make a huge difference or not

what about engine load wouldnt you want to have a heavier(stock) flywheel than a lighter one so you would spool faster...unless of course you were worried about launching better like he ^ said.......i would say its all about what you gonna use the car for and how much power you going to make....

The way I see it is less rotating mass equals more power put down, but at the same time a lighter flywheels is'nt going to keep the same momentum inbetween shifts that a heavy stocker would making the car hard to keep in boost if it has a large turbo.

like most things in life, it's all a comprimise (sp)
You MIGHT see a difference on a road race track, but other than that a 7-8 pound flywheel is only good for one thing IMHO..........reving your motor at other ricers.
