No, the SN95 4.6 were dogshit that ran high 16's off the showroom floor. The later SN99 4.6 were decent engines.

Hope that clears some stuff up for you, Johnny. HTH.
2100lbs? must have nothing inside it...

believe me that cobra doesn't make 550rwhp. it would run tens at 125mph

your car if fine, but saying mustangs are slow cause your modded car beat a stock one not impressive.
thats totally cool dude, although i wasnt trying to impress anyone. But i do have to say though, my car is fairly quick compared to ALOT of cars, i regularly race against my buddy with a 2002 bmw M3 with minor mods, and my launch is faster (even though im auto) and we keep up pretty much till 260km/h where my car just cuts off, another reason for MSv3.
I would most certainly HOPE that a Gt500 (450hp+) car can whoop my volvo
Yet you would be surprised of how much it can keep up!

I dynoed with a Mitsu 15g @ 241whp @ 14psi, blew it @ 15.5psi, dynoed with a T03 @ 271whp, blew it up stupidly when i turned the boost up to 20psi, and now im sporting the garrett T5, but i didnt do a single dyno run since, so i dont really know what its putting down, but it pulls alot harder than the T03, not as quick of a spool, but alot more high end boost.
I will most defenitely be Dynoing my engine as im swapping this b230ft block from the red volvo, to my 1991 Volvo 244Dl which actually weighs 200kg LESS, so it should be fun i'll post up dyno sheets as soon as i go

by the way, you guys in the US, how much is dynoing? Here at a Turbo shop i go to sometimes its 125$ for about 5runs with tuning, and if i go to the Volvo Stealership where they have a AWD dyno that goes directly onto the hubs its 100$/h for as many runs as you can fit, but the clock starts when you drive your car through the doors...

cheers!

Funny, 480 whp Cobras need a good driver to hit consistent 11.9's, you're saying an extra 70 whp is all it needs to drop another second off a 3800 lb sled?

Add in no two dynos read the same, so your 550 whp would be 470-630 at the dyno down the street depending which dyno is compared to what.

Add in you talk alot about what's fast yet you haven't fielded - what is to you an infinitely superior V8 RWD platform - anything that did better than a 12 second domestic. Talk's cheap, Johnny, how about you hit the track and learn how to build/drive like you talk?

Your anti-import commentary is old and sad. If you came up with fresh material it might be funny again. Hell, if you weren't making half the posts in every page to spout the same-old-same-old it might still be amusing. You know how much it sucks to hang out with a broken record? This is HMT where flaming and hating and OT thread hijacks are encouraged as long as you are amusing... you aren't amusing, Johnny. You fail.

any you don't spout the same stupid ---- in every thread?

my mustang ran 7s in the 1/8 with street tires and a 2.7 60 foot. thats 11s with a 2.7 60 foot in the 1/4....

i didn't even catch traction until 3rd gear in the 1/8 in a aode foxbody... thats half track at least....

search the web for 550-600rwhp terminators. see what they are running.

3700lbs is the cobras weight and with about 380rwhp rwtq stock... doesn't matter thats why it traps 110+ stock add 200rwhp and it still runs 12s? gimme a break

Well, i dont know about mustangs, but a 480whp camaro could run low 11's or a high ten with the right setup stall/gears.
