Alright, I gotta join in.... i fully expect the newb treatment, however this isnt my first rodeo, so feel free...

JD... I worked full time at a speedshop/machine shop for over 2 years, before my boss got busted for tax evasion, and it got closed down. Everything on my car, was entirely fabricated by me, and a close friend. No one makes turbo kits for a V8 powered 68 DART. I built mine from scratch, in true HMT style... albeit a bit nicer. All stainless. All Tig Welded. I spent about 6 hours on the mill last week fabricating some new parts, which will remain undisclosed until put into use, so you arent the only one who can fabricate and tune JD. Matter of fact, ever tried tuning a blowthrough carbureted car with a distributor? Its a little different than punching numbers into VE tables, targets AFR's, and watching the little wrench spin in a circle on the laptop.

BDVT... The turbodart has im SURE less than half the money in the motor that the momwagon accord does... It WILL, MARK MY WORDS, trap faster than the accord after a few more parts, but unfortunately for me, I too, am a poor college student. So what I choose to do, is have a lowly running, driving, legitimate 11 second car that traps 120+, rather than making one glory pass, and breaking parts on my junkyard motor. No one here is arguing the fact you could do a ricer flyby on me and turn on the hazards...

Im sure all you will have to say is blahblahblah i make 600 horsepower, 2.5 times the engine, tiny turbo... If you wanna be a dyno princess, you shoulda got a supra, cuz you would fit in better there... Put that 4093 or whatever it is you got laying around on and go make more horsepower. It will just keep breaking trannys. Ive watched multiple 700+ WHP supras run 14's... at 135 mph. Wow. I guess some people are all about that trap speed. Doesnt make you look like any less of a newb though... I spend all weekend, every weekend, at the drag strip, and its pretty pathetic seeing people run a trap speed 20 or 30 or 40 mph faster than they should for their ET.

Anyone who doubts me, sponsor me a $900 dollar 7531 ignition box, since I don't get to have standalone like all the rest of you, thats right I got a CARBURETOR... and ill crank the boost up, and DECIMATE, this entire board. With a junkyard 88 318, factory manifolds, factory trans, factory valvetrain, on drag radials. Out of a Dodge Diplomat for gods sake. Anyone can buy parts, and follow the lead of another person or 10 on some forum, where its already been done, and build a turbo CRX. Or just buy a Greddy kit. Find another single turbo, SB powered A-body. There are none. Ive looked, so I had to DESIGN, and FABRICATE the ENTIRE thing.

Or I suppose I could prove to you how power to weight ratio works with a real rider... humm im guessing the accord in race trim with you,weighs in around 3000lbs.. 600whp.. 5 to 1 power to weight.. MY bike, puts down 150, with me, weighs 650, so... just over 4.5 to 1... and I CAN ride my bike... youll obviously need at least a 60 or 70 roll, that puts me at about 7-8000 in second gear...

TRAP higher than me! I dont give a flying ----, i freely admit your car makes more power than mine... for NOW... i never said I would trap that high this weekend, the valve springs cant take anymore ------- boost at this point, did I mention how stock my motor is?

However, I do possess a time slip, which says, I PWN, 630 WHP hondas from a dig in the 1/4. Which is what drag racing is. I forgot though, in HONDALAND, a drag race ends whenever the Honda turns on his flashers, after passing me 5 minutes later. And UNTIL you come up with this 10 second 138 MPH slip, I still will. You better take off that ------- wastegate and put on a block off plate if you have any prayer of going 138.

When im your age im sure I'll have a whole slew of 7 and 8 second cars... that do alot more than roll race.

And for the record, I never once said my car would be there on the 18th.. Im not sure its worth my ------- time to be honest, so I can hear about how you trap higher than me. I could have ------- told you that years ago. Im sure even if you do show up, you'll probably pull the magical 1st-2nd-1st shift pattern again, and oil the track down... That would be a waste of gas for me to drive out and see...

I do have a ------- job. And a sick bike. And a pretty sick Dart, and a nice commuter, unlike the cougar. MY car will get the 7531 box, and a bigger turbo, and real cylinder heads, and it will go 9's next year, driven to and from the track, without breaking 16 transmissions. Oh, and its got big brakes, and huge sway bars, and suspension mods galore, so i'll walk you out through the corners too... Ive built and paid for every ------- thing I own, and always will.. I can tell you for damn sure, when spring rolls around, my car will make more power to the ground, ET faster (still) and trap higher than your dyno princess.

You got one chance to out ET me this year, otherwise it will be a long winter, knowing you cant hang with a stock 318 and a little snail, on baby boost and pump gas, with a slew of 30 plus year old parts. Next year, you wont have such luxuries, so you better aim high RIGHT NOW, especially if your gonna sell your magic box.
