I would say there is absolutely no way you should drop the money on buying the brand new car.

Other than that, I would just suggest spending some money on a decent car and then spend the rest on upgrades. That is the same answer as anyone else here, we are not about dropping big money on the stock vehicle.

do something original with 25k, it'll be more fun to have the a spec street car (meaning the same ---- as everyone else)...

new mustangs are 3450lbs!!!

3400 is not heavy

get a used 2000-2004 GTI 1.8T (anywhere between $1300-$1700 for a good low mileage under 50k) and toss on the APR stage 1 kit ($1700) and make 242hp/268lb-ft, or go stage 3 kit ($4499) and hit 290hp/296lb-ft or stage 3+ kit ($4999) and hit 340hp/320lb-ft.

Like I said a long while back. 1.8t motor is where it's at. The only downside is that those turbos can't hold more than 210whp or so, but its not that big of a problem. Oh yea, mustangs are the gay, but if you want to pay 900 dollars for a catback exhaust, go ahead.

i have been starting to think about that too, but i wonder how dependable they are when you start ------ with them. there is a salesman at my dealership that always has his in the shop with MAFS issues and other misc. problems, and his is stock :o

my uncle has one that he is puttin down like 210 ft/lb with a stock turbo and bolt on mods, iceman intake, exhaust and a chip and the has been tuned.

If you have that much money available to you right away, why dont you buy like a honda (or any other realiable car for cheap) rebuild the engine turbo it and have it make more than 200hp. Im pretty sure that it would cost less than $25,000. Now that only if you already have that much available.
