Re: Getting out of cell phone contract
Yeah, I worked customer service for Cingular, but don't know how to get out of a contract because there was a group people were transferred to called the "save team" that will kiss people's ass to keep their service active.
Doug, you should really just keep bitching and swearing that you weren't told. You might have to talk to a few different people, but eventually they'll believe you and eventually you'll get to someone that's willing to help. I think the ratio of people that give a ---- to people that don't give a ---- is about 1:100, so better get to calling. |
Re: Getting out of cell phone contract
I need a good address where they don't have service. Hook a nog up people.

Our Rights to Make Changes Your service is subject to our business policies, practices, and procedures, which we can change without notice. UNLESS OTHERWISE PROHIBITED BY LAW, WE CAN ALSO CHANGE PRICES AND ANY OTHER CONDITIONS IN THIS AGREEMENT AT ANY TIME BY SENDING YOU WRITTEN NOTICE PRIOR TO THE BILLING PERIOD IN WHICH THE CHANGES WOULD GO INTO EFFECT. IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE YOUR SERVICE AFTER THAT POINT, YOU'RE ACCEPTING THE CHANGES. IF THE CHANGES HAVE A MATERIAL ADVERSE EFFECT ON YOU, HOWEVER, YOU CAN END THE AFFECTED SERVICE, WITHOUT ANY EARLY TERMINATION FEE, JUST BY CALLING US WITHIN 60 DAYS AFTER WE SEND NOTICE OF THE CHANGE. http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/0...f-their-contr/ EDIT: just incase you decide not to read all that ----, effective march 1st they will be increasing text message rates to 15cents, this constitutes a "material adverse effect" on you so you can end your contract and avoid the fee. nevermind, i forgot this is 2008, hahaha :1 that happened march of last year, lol. |
Re: Getting out of cell phone contract
I have T-Mobile and I'm not complaining about them changing anything. Just dicking me over and extending my contract.
