Getting out of cell phone contract
Well I signed up for T-Mobile back in Nov. of 06. 1 year contract. Well on Oct. of 07 I had went over my min and I called to see if I could up them so that I wouldn't get raped. They said yeah and it wouldn't charge me all the overage.
So I call today to cut my service off since I have a Verizon phone. Well the lady says that since I made the min change in Oct. it extended my contract till Oct. of this year. I was like um, no they said it wouldn't effect my contract. She says it says they informed me verbally of their contract extension policy. I know they didn't, I use to work for customer service and we put BS like that in to cover out butts when we didn't.
So they said to cancel it now it would be a $200 early termination fee. Any way out of this? What if I just quit paying for a month and let them turn it off and then send them a payment when they send me a final notice or whatever?

keep asking to talk to a higher person in command, keep bitching, be calm about it, explain that they didnt tell you that. if all else fails, tell them youll let everyone you know and everyone them know how shitty service is? or go with the death thing, lol
