I wait for deals.. The dude that sold me my bike just had a kid. I dont think he wanted to get rid of it, but the wife wore the pants in his family. I still say you should wait for a newer bike. Not because of speed, just because new bikes USUALLY have less miles on them and fewer winters. FI is easier to work on from what I hear on the CBR boards. you dont have to worry about syncing the carbs, but I dont know ---- about carbs to begin with.

This guy also just had a kid and is jobless so he really needs the money. I offered $2000 and he accepted so I'll go check it out tomorrow and if it's ok I'll buy it. Kinda hard to get a bad deal on a good running streetbike for $2k. It's not like it's going to be my DD anyways. Just a toy to ---- with and have fun on.

What stops you from buying a 3500-4000$ bike? You really do get alot more for the money. You can get an 01-04 bike for about that much. But if your set on only spending around 2k that's definitely the best bang for the buck.

id probly rather get a 95-98 cbr600, cause those kawasakis look RETARDED and probly weigh like 500lbs

i take that back, it looks good from the side, retarded from the front but who cares

Id rock it. for 2k you can ride it for a while and then you can sell it probably for the same.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. It wouldn't be hard to sell for what I would have into it.

I don't really want to spend that much money right now with everything so slow. I'm iffy about spending the $2k, but I figure I can sell it for 1500-2000 fairly easily if I had to. If ---- starts picking back up I'll probably sell it and buy something newer/nicer/faster/lighter/FI....etc...etc

They weigh around 440 wet which really isn't that bad. I don't mind the style of it, just the color makes me want to vomit. :l

I think your offer of $2k is fair.

it's over priced 25k on a bike is like 200k on a honda at best. they usually don't last much longer then 20k unless your talking a well cared for honda. and the cows have fork seal and tranny problems. get a cbr for the price.
