Put a real turbo on it, ditch the afc, and keep up with your oil changes. If I ever ran a Y8 oil pump again I'd have a whole pillar of oil pressure gauges.

do the y8 oil pumps go out alot??

why in the hell do you have a vafc and an fmu? Anyhow, sell me one set of your 450's

There are of course y8 motors with tons of miles on them that are running fine, but I've spun a bearing in my old y8, my friend went through 3 Y8's that developed spun bearings, and if you look online you can usually find a couple y8's with bad bearings. The only cause of spun bearings are bad oil changing habits or insufficient oil flow. I can't say they are garbage for sure, but I don't trust them in anything performance oriented.
