Who in their right mind would even consider replacing damaged rings with the same caliber again ? You're only asking for the same problems to occur again.
I debated the pros & cons of an engine swap before electing to strengthen the original block. I'm going w/ forged low compression pistons & rings with a head gasket that is rated for 15 lbs of boost. I'm not mechanically inclined, so the engine swap option was costing just as much.

You might not hear any noises before the rods go, I have gone through 2 of them, so trust me. The first time I heard really really really bad knocking for like 5 seconds than a snap, took it to a shop and the number 2 rod i believe, had broken straight into 2. The second time was without warning and just bent a rod, that was due to some diferent ignition timing problems though. Just be careful if you going to up the boost, and be smart about it.
