What does pinging sound like??

I know this may be funny but what does pinging sound like? ping ping??

Really, what does it sound like cuz i here Hondas that are N/A and sound like they're pinging or is that normal to here the pistons click and stuff? Does need a better idea of what it sounds like.

Pinging sounds like rocks being shaken around in a coffe can. And I think the pinging your hearing in na hondas is normal. I beleive it's just the timing/ignition.

I have pingiing/detonation in my car for a while, before the hondata. It really sounded like a type of scratching sund like, GGGRRRRRRSSSSSSSHHHH. You will not here it on the low RPMs, but you will definately hear the difference if you know your car really well.

Cool thanx guys , I'll look out for it. Maybe it was the valves pinging a little but i guess i'll know when its REAL pinging from running lean and such!
